The PS we refer to is an acronym for Print Summit. It is our annual ‘Knowledge Seminar’ hosted by our Association (Bombay Master Printers’ Association – BMPA, since 2005) for stakeholders from the print-packaging and allied industries.
This annual event is undertaken by the Association as a unique effort to commemorate . We enable this colloquium in memory of Johannes Gutenberg – a German (master) innovator whose invention, the movable type, revolutionised mass printing. It is no surprise that Time magazine aptly commemorated Gutenberg as “Man of the Millennium” at the dawn of this 21st Century.
What’s on offer @PS!
The BMPA is steadfast in its goal to construct an agenda that consolidates the progress made over past editions of PS held since 2005. We always strive to make the Key Note address more conspicuous and build content that resonates and heralds the changes and challenges shaping the industries we serve.
The printing press is a highly complex and sophisticated machinery (few even liken it to an aeroplane) as it gently casts impression by guiding delicate sheets of paper, chattel upon chattel, at incredible speeds of upto 18,000 impressions and more per hour; involving crazy design symphonies orchestrated by an intricate interplay of science and hi-tech before it eventually falls in hands of a consumer. The latter remains vastly unaware of the perils the sheet of paper has gone through to safely “land” – as a well executed manoeuvre by man and machine. Hence the aviation analogy is found to be apt for a printing press.
So is the case with PS. We get precise and look forward to delivering an impact that is “of-wow” and “of-delight” at each edition. The focus is on: improving continuously without disturbing that which is proven to work. The PS show is what it is, as – our audience is terrific; accommodating and compelling at the same time. The same goes for all of PS’ co-hosts and partners.
