The Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA) organised a full day Seminar on The New Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20: Changes & Updates on Thursday 30th April 2015 at BMPA Conference Room.
Ajit Shah and Mihir Shah from Universal Connections were faculties for the day. Between the father-son duo there is a cumulative experience of more than 40 years. Their expertise includes Export Import, International Business and Foreign Trade Policy. The Shahs’ are now also associated with BMPA as consultants to the association and will keep guiding BMPA members from time to time.
The session for the day was launched by Faheem Agboatwala, President, BMPA, who made out the reasons for the session and provided the timelines for the talk.
The Session began with introduction of participants. Mihir Shah started the session and provided the background based on which the New Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) has been prepared. He then explained in detail provisions of various chapters under the new FTP.
He explained the various Procedural Changes as per the New FTP and also the Important Policy Changes.
Special focus was made on changes affecting the BMPA Members and the changes affecting the Printing Industry.
All through the workshop Ajit Shah added several important points during the session and guided the participants on best practices to be followed while taking advantage of export incentives under the FTP.
The entire session was highly interactive and questions from participants were encouraged by the faculties. Queries raised were solved during the seminar.
