Amit Shah

Amit Shah was a speaker at Print Summit 2018 (PS18) conference in Mumbai. He runs Spectrum Scan, India’s leading POP / POS manufacturing company.

Spectrum Scan was formed in Jan 1988 and provides basic pre-press services to offset printers in Mumbai. Spectrum is a one stop solution provider in point of purchase (POP) / point of sale (POS). Spectrum offers digital printing and screen printing for the commercial advertising, display, and POP / POS services.

It has been awarded the Best Quality Printing Award by national and international graphic associations like SGIA, FESPA, BMPA, SPAI, Print Week, and many more. Spectrum has more than 100 international and 135 national awards for excellence in printing and POP / POS.

Amit is credited with the following achievements:

  • First company to start Service Bureau for CTP Plate making.
  • First to perform print and form backlit jobs.
  • First Indian company to provide international standard quality in 4 colour halftone screen print.
  • First Indian company to invest in 5’ x 10’ thermoforming machine.
  • First to patent ‘tower – modular stand’ and ‘twister flange’
  • First to launch flange in 1997
  • First to produce triorama dangler, quadrama dangler, PP cubes, and metallised plastic for offset printing.

Indu Shahani

Dr. Indu Shahani was a speaker at PS18. Indu is the President & Chair of the Indian School of Design & Innovation (ISDI), ISDI WPP School of Communication, and the Indian School of Management & Entrepreneurship (ISME); and the Founding Dean of ISME.

She is acknowledged worldwide as a visionary thought leader for her significant contribution to education and value-based leadership.

She has over four decades of teaching experience and was nominated on leading boards of large national and global companies that have provided an impetus for ‘academia – industry collaborations’.

She is a Visiting Faculty Member at the UC Berkeley, NYU Stern, USA and a Lead Speaker at various conferences in India and abroad. She has also developed many linkages for student and faculty exchanges with leading universities in the USA, Europe, South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, and more.

Prominent awards she has received and achievements include:

  • First Indian to be appointed Vice-Chair on the Board of the Governors of the International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Honorary Doctor of Letters degree by the University of Westminster in London
  • ‘Women of the Decade Achievers Award’ by ASSOCHAM
  • ‘Citizen of Mumbai Award’ by Rotary Club of Bombay
  • ‘Excellence in Education Award’ by the FICCI FLO

Paul Bradley

Paul Bradley talked about ‘Running your Print Biz Efficiently’ at PS18.

Paul is the Founder and Group CEO of the UK-based printing company ESP Colour, which is an internationally renowned POS specialist firm. He is delighted to see web-to-print taking off at ESP and urges his industry peers to focus on what customers want rather than on what printers can produce.

Thomas Glaser

Thomas Glaser was another main attendee and speaker at Print Summit 2018. He gave a presentation on ‘The Importance of Migration in Food Packaging’ at the event.

Thomas works at Siegwerk Switzerland AG, the Swiss headquarters of Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA, which is an international manufacturer of printing inks.

He is currently the Head of Technology for UV Sheetfed Inks and carries over 25 years worth of experience in the industry with him.

Many people say that he has literal printing ink coursing through his veins. He is extremely knowledgeable about his field and can clarify any and all doubts regarding UV ink, low migration food packaging applications, and the upcoming H-UV / LED technologies.

He is on top of what’s happening in Europe, all the new printing trends, and more importantly, what’s going to happen in ‘apna Bharat lok’.

Tony Massey

Tony Massey offered massive ideas and insights into printing and business at the Print Summit 2018 event. He leads InnerWorkings Inc. and is the Vice President International Business Development there.

InnerWorkings is a billion dollar plus marketing execution firm based out of Chicago. It is a NASDAQ listed company that works with Fortune 500 organisations to develop their international marketing activities outside the United States.

In his earlier stint in 2004, Tony had joined HH Global, a UK-based mid-market print brokerage firm. He has learnt a lot over the 15+ years of selling and marketing B2B services to the largest global corporates. He is one of the most experienced and respected individuals advising global brands on marketing execution optimisation.
